Paul, The plastic parts are the ones the original air inlet tubes attach to next to the fan housing and radiator. Congrats on the new mods. You will not be dissappointed. I did the 74mm & retune and I swear the car seems like it ran better with the 68mm & old tune. Good luck with the install. You shouldn't have any problems, everthing went together pretty easily. OK we have a fun show if anyone is interested it is this Sunday 7/6/14 @ Stepping Stone Museum in Harve De Grace. Here is the info.

As in prior years there is no fee for car registration.
However each person will be charged the regular museum admission fee of $10 and all exhibits will be open

Guys. Just back from St. Louis. Looking forward to Carlisle. Family is coming up too.

A couple things. What is the schedule for everyone gong up? I think Jason is going up Thursday and coming back Friday? What about Chas and others. I'm planning on going up on Friday morning. Anyone planning a similar time and what to meet and cruise up? Let me know.

Also, a couple of things we should try to do while up there. We should have a half hour COM meeting to catch up on the car show planning if possible. Just a few thinkg we need to make sure are in order. We can do it at the show field if necessary, or better yet over a couple beers somewhere.

Paul excellent idea about meeting, but lets make it a productive meeting being the VP can write up a quick outline for the meeting so we can have conversation points.

 

Sure, here's my quick hit for items we need to close the loop on.
1. Goodybags - I believe July 20th is the date we have on tap to get together to stuff them. We need to make sure we have everything we need (at least as much as possible) and we need to select a convenient location to meet up to do that. Last minute push for items!!

2.. Raffles - We always have a 50/50. This year we have other items to now raffle off. Would like input into how to conduct that raffle. Suggest it be separate. It will hopefully draw more money / people into it. We have approximately 6 - 8 items (currently). Suggest an exclusive raffle for chance to win those items. Need separate tickets for it (also different color to differential between 50/50 and this raffle). Also, suggestions on ticket prices (1 ticket = $1, 4 tickets for $3, 7 tickets for $5 --- etc.) Looking for suggestions.

2. Music / Audio - Did we ever get a DJ? If not, we either need to or we need to make sure James equipment works and is sufficient for our needs. Need to close the loop quickly on this. Also, plans for our music (needs to be clean and family friendly).

3. Support before and at the show - I want to make sure we have all this nailed down. I know we have a plan but I'm a little concerned about enough coverage. I will not have my son or family there to help this year either. I'm also concerned about what's now on my plate without the help from my son. I have to get the water there (can't do this in my Crossfire), put out the COM signs at the roads linking to the winery and I'm not getting back from vacation until Friday night before the show. I'm trying to figure out the logistics. I may have to bring up the water very early in my other car, put up the signs and then go home to get the car. Anyway, I may be looking to coordinate things with some help.

Definitely need help with selling raffle tickets (several people walking around too)
Need help with selling water (stationary and possibly walking around - my daughter won't be there now)
If I get the kettlcorn pre-make we'll need someone to sell that too. We could do a combo table for water, kettlecorn and raffle but we'll still benefit from walkers

I'm sure I'm forgetting things but these are what's on my current list of thing to chat about.

I wanted to ask the COM team for a referral for a shop to redo my headline. I just got a quote for $250 from Rando (Gaithersburg). If anyone has someone better and less expensive please let me know.

They did a good job on the headliner. They did knick a few spots on my console though. It's a guy who has a business in a building in back of his house. He's been in the business for a long time.

Things are fine, just seems I'm always up to things when you guys meet or go out for a run, but I do keep an eye on things here in the forum. Please do let me know what needs to be done for the show (dates etc.).

I'm leaving my house Friday morning at 11am and traveling via Route 83 to the hotel with Wyatt and James. We're gonna meet up with David B. at the Burger King off Route 83 near Route 124 (2400 Mt Rose Ave, York, PA). Paul and David E. I sent you a text yesterday but received no reply.

Chas, I replied back yesterday morning. I said I had posted a note on the forum (above) trying to coordinate as well. That I was maybe looking to do lunch at the Shamrock or meeting Mt. Airy for those interested.

Goodie bags....do we have additional items or is it just what I have? I don't want to pile everything in the car if we only have the items I've collected. Much easier to just keep them at the house and Erin and I fill them.
Raffle tickets....pretty sure I still have the roll from last year, I'll check and let you guys know by this weekend. If so we only need to get one roll in a different color.
DJ.....we don't have one, it would be James, but that's a lot of gear to put in the crossfire. Worst case we yell really loud when we give out raffles and awards.
