ok so ive got an old guitar practice amplifier and speaker, several mics and cords. I'll check to make sure it still works (12 years of spilled beers, and cigarette smoke can be rough on it) and if everything still checks out,i havent turned it on since the move, we can at least use it as a PA system. It isn’t my main guitar rig, so even though i don’t want anything to happen to it, we can use it if needed.

Talked to my friend who is a DJ, we can do it for $225. he usually charges alot more for his time. doesnt charge for set up and removal of his equipement. he has very nice, top end equipment. he will MC, pump up the raffles and has a good mix of music. i know we dont have the funds, but those are my two options that i have.

ok, so it still isnt too late to see if Meguiar's help with sponsorship to our show. we will get items from RockAuto, but i dont know if Adam's will come through, I didnt get a good vibe from the person i talked to. I know adam's is a big help to CICCI, but we need some more items in the bags. I need to know by June 25, thats the last day i can apply to have them sponser our show.

Send out emails today to Chrysler Dealers in Mt. Airy, Gaithersburg and Rockville. I'll follow-up by phone. We'll see if we get any nibbles.

Jason, copied you on the emails.

sounds good! I emailed NAPA and the main office told me to talk to my local NAPA, so I'll stop in saturday and say hi. I need stuff for the Plymouth anyway. if we dont get anything back from those dealers, i'll talk to the one in Laurel. I get crossfire parts from them, so they may be interested.

Just wanted everyone to know that I will be bringing a pop up canopy to Carlisle. We will be bringing two cars, the Plymouth and the Crossfire. The canopy will be set up with my Plymouth. if you guys are walking around the show field, and it starts to rain, you get hot, or just need to sit down. feel free to use the canopy. the car will be in the C-Body area. In the past we have been around the Woman's Oasis. Just look for a white 1966 Sport Fury, black top, red interior, silver CICCI sticker on the wing glass.

Go to PayPal, type in the CICCI email (webadmin@crossfireinternational.com), your dollar amount ($5.00 x each item you're interested in) and MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE ITEM# IN THE "COMMENTS" BOX on the page. LMK if that helps clear up the process.

Should I bring the COM banner to Carlisle, or would that be too much with CICCI banners already there?

Thanks Chas, I'll give that a try.

Just so you know I sent out emails to a few vendors looking for any help with goodie bags or whatever - may not get anything but what the hell, why not try. The people I sent to are Advance Auto, Auto Zone, Pep Boys, Napa, and Auto Parts Warehouse and I plan on hitting Tire Rack too - maybe we can drum up some samples, decals, coupons, or something.

On another note, would we be open to having any retailers there if they would make a contribution? Like wheel place or something? I know John at Wheel Deal in Reisterstown who does really good work and prices - thought maybe he would want to send a person up and pass out fliers or something...but I don't want to mention it to him till I get your feelings on that...or if Linganore would care.

IF CICCI doesn't mind - I say wave the banner in Carlisle if we can...

should we think about an information sheet about COM group with details on who and how to contact for membership, etc?

I imagine we can pass out our show fliers there - right?

We dont really have plans for actual vendors, but if companies want to "register" a car and put a table with flyers around the car, like Acura is doing I see no harm in that.

We can stuff fliers in all the cars we see with open windows, at Carlisle. If the car has the windows down, they expect to get some flyers, if the windows are up they dont want anything.

I'll put the COM banner in the car and we can figure it out once we get up there. maybe we can tie it between two of our cars, that would look cool.

Hey guys, I am looking for a set of the rear fascia accent panels that go on either side of the exhaust outlets - I found them at hotcaraccessories.com but they want $280 - before I go there I wanted to see if anyone knows a cheaper place to get them or might have a set they want to part with. Let me know

Are you talking about the diffusers? If you are, be careful. Lots of reviews on her about some of these. Some are rigid and end up not fitting well. Others are pliable but may warp. Do a search and see what you can find out. Good luck.

Guys, an update on planning for the show. I spoke with my neighbor (Eric of Linganore). He suggested we get all the cars parked inside the fence ... to give it a "show feel". He believes we'll have sufficient space for the cars in the upper area just inside the fence directly outside the winery. If he's suggesting it I say we do it. If we end up thinking our show is going to outgrow that area (we could only be so lucky) then we can use the grassing area in the lower area near the band center. Anyway, I think it's a good suggestion. I'm going to get the dimensions, sketch it out and then get back with everyone. Most of the other set up will remain the same. registration by the gate, music set up by the gate but instead of speakers pointing out to the field, it will be in toward the new placement area for the cars. Visitor parking will be in the grassy area just outside the fence, which is the same as was planned before.

More later.
