My girl just told me she has some doctor appointment that day (for real) so we can't go. If the date changes, maybe we'll come down, but I really don't want to stay the night, so I don't know if that will even be possible since nobody wants to detour from the route you already have planned. I mean, the problem for me is that I can be in OC in under 4 hours, but I'm not going to drive 6 hours just to meet up with everyone, since that means staying over... and I'm not going to drive to OC all the way by ourselves. A day trip is nice but I'm not looking for a weekend vacation. You see what I'm saying. Maybe I'll just wait for the 100 mile Hudson Valley Bridge Tour in the spring, and if anyone shows up for that, I'll meet all you other xfire guys there. I'll be doing that drive again regardless, so I'll post the date when it rolls around, since some people are interested.

 

I just heard the wether report again. They say we might be in for it. Could be a lot of snow in NJ. Doesn't look good for me. Change the date and I will try to make it. If the forcast changes and is good for this weekend I will see you.

 

Hey everyone, It is snowing pretty steady in Maryland now (Wednesday) and the forecast is calling for more...with another batch coming in on Saturday through Sunday. My wife and I are going to have to cancel (hate to do it)...if it is rescheduled, we are in. If you decide to go, have a great time!

By the way, we don't live anywhere near Ocean City, MD so their weather is probably much different than ours. We are on the opposite end of the state where it always snows. Keep us posted. Thanks and enjoy.

1/19/2005 I have a 2 man crew in Easton working they report 3 inchs and still snowing.

ps. man and they are bitching about the traffic ......*LOL*

Yes, we have about 3+ inches on the ground here in Southern Maryland and more proposed for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
I'm sure some of you have even more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cold weather is not the problem obviuosly (we have heaters and jackets) ..................... BUT ICE, SNOW AND SALT.........
That's a different story.

Since we know we have a group that is excited about doing this.................

What should be our NEXT ATTEMPT date???????

 

Its really not even the snow and salt, its that the bulk of the drivers over here leave their brains home when the snow comes. A customer came in today and said there were accidents all over rt50 today, and thats BEFORE we had a inch on the ground. Redcross what say we try for a mid March to maybe catch a bright day and have a backup date as well. Bill

 

It ain't none of that...we all know we just don't want our cars to get dirty driving on salty, sandy, roads. Okay, at least >I< don't...
