Wink Re: Chrysler Nationals

I cruised up with the VIPERS again this year. They had TWELVE VIPERS at the meeting point and ended up with FOURTEEN in the caravan by the time we made it to Carlisle.
Chrysler Nationals was attended by SIX Crossfires...
One Yellow Roadster
Three SSB Coupes
One Red Coupe
Not enough to qualify for a SPONSORED SPOT WITH TENT!!!
But MAYBE next year.
The Maserati TC even had SIXTEEN and if I remember they only made 3700 of them!!!
But the weather was great and we had a great group and saw lots of great cars...
Al has covered the pics but here are a few of mine.

JD (Redcross) did a fine job keeping up with the Vipers. For the most part, he was a good citizen. It was nice to see the Crossfires got a much better spot on the show field than last year, when they were as far away from everything as possible. This year they were right beside the Chrysler displays. I talked with JD, Bud Nixon (ex-Viper owner), and one of the other Xfire guys; they all seemed to be having a great time.

Hey, I didn't see any Crossfires at the show other than mine. Did anyone go?

Cool Re: Chrysler Nationals

Where were you parked?
B3 was the designated parking spot on the Show Field.
See galleries.

Sorry that we didn't see you there ichon, had a pretty good time at the small plot of Crossfire turf which we had to share with a bunch of station wagons, oh the horror.

It was way hot. I didn't get too many pictures. but I'll post some up when I have them transferred.

We should definitely meet up more often and we should definitely do this event again next year, perhaps make it an annual event for the NE group.

Thanks for the update. I was stuck at the SME competition and didn't make it over near the station wagons. I looked all day but only saw the Prowlers,Vipers and PT Cruisers. We should make it a an annual event. LMK, cya Chas.

ichon,

The Crossfires were parked between the Prowlers and the Chrysler test drive tent.
The wagons were Dodge Magnums.

Chas-
Keep an eye open for GTGs almost every month.
Go into the back pages of Events for our area and check out "Mountain Run", "Ocean City Cross-Up", "SkyLine Drive Cross-Up" etc...

Wink Re: Chrysler Nationals

Didn't want to honk my own horn, BUT...

REDCROSS took First Place in class at Carlisle.
Bob was second (SSB with Custom Wheels, BORLA +).
James was third with yellow Roadster (I think).

Next year lets get a LARGE showing and we will qualify for our own tent, etc...

Thumbs up Re: Chrysler Nationals

Ok, I have pre-registered and here are the requirements for a Club Tent.

Car Club Tent Reservations
Carlisle Events offers a FREE 20' x 20' tent to each car club that registers a minimum of 25 vehicles at an event for use as your club headquarters.

New clubs that want to participate or clubs that didn't meet the 25 vehicle requirement last year will need to make a $150 pre-payment. If the club meets the 25 vehicle requirement this year, (based on Carlisle Productions' computer registration records), the prepaid tent fee of $150 will be reimbursed after the event to the club official who initiated the arrangements.

The $150 pre-payment fee is waived for clubs that met the 25 vehicle requirement last year.

Each member must register individually for the show field. Be sure that they list their club name when registering. A club organizer can collect the registration forms and mail them together, or they can be mailed by each individual member. Payment must accompany each registration in order for that individual to be considered pre-registered.

I have filled out the form and will "Front" the Tent Charge as mentioned above...
but be sure and list "XFI Crossfire International" as the CLUB when you register!!!

I went last year and I plan on going this year. So I hope to see a lot of you there this year. Last year there were only six Crossfires there. I know we can do a lot better.

Hi JD
Got mine repaired after the accident only about $14,500.00 damage. They did a great job. you can't tell it was ever in the accident.
I hope we get the 25 Crossfires.
I posted it on the other website. Maybe it will help.
see you
Alan

PS paid for the Chrysler national today.
