My OTHER Project...
As some of you may have noticed that from time to time I refer to my OTHER car. Namely my '03 GT Cruiser. She's my fun and dependable daily driver/project car.
I had an idea of what kind of cargo deck I wanted, but could never seem to find exactly what I needed to do so. I had a shell of a previous deck that I had used to make a Crossfire rear deck...but that's another story.
So, a really long story a little shorter, I present my final version of the inside of my PT GT, minus a few touch ups here and there...
A before shot, just after she was delivered and a quick bath...

and now, after a whole lot of fun (and money)
....my PT

Thanks for the looks...

You went and turned it into a Bentley.

It's a pity you are so far away or I would borrow that and pick up some top soil that the wife wants. LOL
Thanks for all the kudos.
As to the possible dirt hauling, that's one of the reasons we bought this car. Kind of hard to haul more than one tomato plant home from Lowe's, lol.
The deck "runners" were made from flooring transition strips for durability, and the "wood" is actually ABS plastic that almost matches the dash kit material.
Here's a look at the front of the deck/rear seats...

And here's a shot of the new leather on the seats and the dash kit...

Not as of yet, the outside is the next phase of mods. I'm looking at doing the outside with the same kit I used on this PT.

I think a "wood" strip will go well with the interior theme, then I'm looking at trying to get a PTeazer Full Grill painted to match...
As a fellow PT Cruiser owner, and one who has seen waaaaaay too many PTs done up with rediculous and hideous modifications in the name of "uniqueness" I wholeheartedly approve of this beautiful creation! Bravo!!! I'd love to do something similar to mine (but with a different finish than wood grain as that's not really my thing) as I often haul all my detailing supplies in mine. Something really custom to secure it all in an organized fashion while looking really nice. Unfortunately I lack your craftsmanship skills!!

You sir are remarkable. I really love the woodwork ability you have. I should turn over my deceased father-in-law's truck I inherited and have you replace the bed with whatever you can come up with to make it look retro...I'll have to have mechanical parts changed out...I wonder if any of those XF V6's being replaced with V8's would work in a 94' Ford Ranger.
Enough dreaming...really, that is fantastic.

Truly a "work of art" & an example of superb craftsmanship!! Made your PT Cruiser a "one of a kind". Roberta & I have always liked the PT Cruiser. Actually it's a practical vehicle, capable of serving various needs.
