Ford Mustang Generation 6

The 2011 to 2014 Mustangs are a great engine surrounded by a competent car. Lets wait and see how the 2015 looks like in person before flushing it. We already know how good the engine is.

I would have to agree 100%. My Production manager has a 2011 soft top with a six. surprisingly quick. Excellent drive train and suspension.
If Ford had done a '65 retro version or a true '70 version, I think they would have had a winner. I am an ole' Camaro guy, and I don't think Chevy hit a home run at all. I was hoping for a retro '69....or even the next gen '70, but it wasn't going to happen. If I ever dump the XF's, which I don't see that happening, I will build another Camaro. My old '71 body is still around. It had many a motor from when I bought it in '72, but it is still in one piece. Well, I think it is still in one piece...they may be rusty pieces today. But nothing fiberglass panels can't take car of. You figure today, you can go to Summit, Jegs, etc. Pretty much buy the whole drive train. Body, gauges, suspension are pretty straight forward...50 grand turn key race car.

The second half of this video provides a great insight as to what the 2015 Stang will look like inside and out. They say the 2015 shares nothing from the 2014 other than the length of wheel base.

I always enjoy Jay's Garage...... Sounds like the eco boost 4 banger will be offered. I can tell you the 6 bang version runs just fine. The V-8 will be more than 420 hp... I thought maybe they would do the ole' 429 Cobra jet...for the 50 yr anniversary... I don't really hate that new Stang...but would have to see it in person...
Franc, 1 of the guys at work bought a new F150 eco boost 6. He put a 6" lift, big rims and tires...all black...beautiful truck. I walked over to take a look, and he offered her up to take a test drive. I was standing there not realizing it is running. He always had diesels before, turned up, black smoke blowing monsters... I got in, it was quiet, I was told it was a 6 cylinder, and I thought, no power to pull the wheels let alone the lift. Man, I fell in love with the truck, as it not only quiet, it is 1 hell of running truck right out of the box. I can't tell you how surprised I was. It is a twin turboed motor, and pulls this big truck down the road without a problem. Not been in a car with that motor, but in a Mustang, it would have to be a beast. Ford has a winner with the eco boost. So this 4 bang version doesn't surprise me. I like some Mustang styles and others I don't care for...

I totally agree here. I have had a few Camaros 70-73 and a 67. I had a 69 Mustang.
When I get the injury settlement I am expecting later this year I will be getting one of these for sure.
Have always preferred two seater GT cars either open or closed. On my 67 Camaro autocross car I just removed the rear seat entirely and added a carpeted tray. What I'd like to see is a Crossfire with a 305 hp regular fuel Pentastar. The engines seem to be the same width (24-25") but the 60 degree Pentastar may be a little taller.
Of course that would also need an axle change to something about 25% taller but should not be an issue Merc C350 CDi or E320D axle might fit. Anyone know ?

I'm glad the grille deal worked out for you two.
