Default Doing the Dart

Yesterday was somewhat of a sad day and a happy day. The wife said that I could not keep both SRT-6s. We traded off the old SRT-6 coupe and the MB C230 Sportcoupe and bought a 2013 Dodge Dart (SXT with the 2.0l engine). My son is very happy with the car (he wasn't that interested at first). Better gas mileage and MUCH less for insurance (surprisingly).

My son grinning ear to ear:

Ya gotta do what ya gottta do.

A young driver and an SRT6 can spell disaster.
The Dodge Dart isn't exactly slow though.

At least you got to keep the Vert. And in the best color for an SRT vert

Thanks Franc. The 2.0L is a bit sluggish compared to the old MB C230 Sportcoupe that he drove, but my son doesn't need a hotrod! He really loves the car and enjoys the stereo and trim.

I did tell him that if he keeps up the good grades and behaves himself, I may let him take the convertible out next year for his senior prom. At least I know that there will be no funny business in the 'vert.

Good looking little ride. Do not underestimate the youth, Evan! I would have gotten some action on prom night even if I was in a Messerschmitt

I drove one just like that. Unfortunately, immediately after driving a 2012 Charger R/T Mopar Edition. Same money ($22K vs. $26K).

Gas mileage? No. Comfort? Yes. Power? Oh, yes. Noise? The only thing I could hear in the R/T was the exhaust. I just couldn't see me in the Dart.

$5 gas? Then I could. We'll see how we'll pay for Obamacare first. I may have to after all...

One thing though-I was driving an Auto. I danged-near tore the front end clean off ~ 10 times due to the "auto-off" engine. I guess I hit the gas too fast for it to keep up, and it snapped into "D" with the throttle about 50%. REALLY didn't like that...

Does it have the racetrack leds? I did like the ride and the room it had for a little car. I would much rather have Maxchicon's Charger though, I've had 3 Chargers over the years already.

My wife has a 2012 Charger R/T Max w/AWD. She loves that thing. My son doesn't like to drive that though (too big he says). Insurance is MUCH cheaper on the Dart vs the Charger (at least when you have a teenaged son).

Larry,
I do believe it does have the race track LEDs, but I could be wrong...

Kids can be determined and inventive but, i don't see how anyone could get pregnant in a Crossfire . Especialy a coupe.

Crumpy and i are rather old and not so limber but we couldn't even think of a way to do it.

You have not discovered the true joy of life till you have done the white leather back seat of a '63 Olds Starfire ......
Heck, I think I even had a family of gypsies living in the trunk of that boat .....

You Sir have obviously forgotten a lot and maybe that's just as well. It would be embarrassing to be pried out of the passenger seat by the local fire department just because the old bodies seized up.

I have forgotten nothing. That's the problem. We just cannot bend the way we used too.
In the 60 Chevy, 65 Plymouth, 69 cuda, 75 Olds Starfire (that was fun), three 98 Regencies, a 450 SEL, and a Mark Cross K car. Amazingly, not once in any of my Caravans. I mean after all, there is no challenge there.

And BigKid,,,,, door open doesn't count. I said in the car. Have some class man.
