The A/C compressor locked up on my 2002 Chrysler Concorde, I got a replacement from Rockauto and all is well.
( replaced compressor, condenser, dryer, diverter and all hoses and seals - left the evaporator alone - too much hassle )
Thought you might like to see the problem.
See the little half ball ? It is WELDED to the ramp !
This compressor has 5 double pistons and the other nine 1/2 ***** were OK.
Lesson learned, I have had a very slow leak for years and just added some R134 when needed, never thought of replenishing the PAG oil - big mistake !

Yes, was just coming back into town from a run to Sam's and it kinda went kablooie. Stopped and disconnected the clutch and kept on a truckin. Drove it for 3 weeks like that until I got the parts and the time to work on it.
