Zeitronix datalogger with DashDAQ XL and sensors- complete package!
with the latest engine destroying itself on the m/b forum i knew it was time to get this. anybody that mods truly needs to know whats going on inside their engine. it was great karma that shelton put this on the list of things to go!!!
even though my mods are mild by some standasrds i dont want to have any issues

the blown engine thread is a whole heap of arguements so read at your own caution. no reasoning had been found when i last read of it. i'll have to go check again today.. just click 'new posts' its almost guaranteed to be on the front page of that.
Now the blown engines are coming out of the woodwork. Read with caution. Stepping up to E55's and E63's and business is booming. Just for reference, when people started tuning the SRT-8's a ton blew up from messing with the knock sensors. Almost always detonation causing ring lands to break.

just to be clear im still a big fan of e/c and tony. but a point was made about modding and datalogging and it occured to me i know nothing about what my engine is doing.
i have been looking at the dashdaq since i came onto the forum and bought just about everything else, saying im not into wild tunes, to justify not buying it. well its time to be purposeful in my mods and this was the perfect addition. thanx shelton and my 32 thanx you!

Steve,
I was in no way trying to degrade your comments. I don't know if my previous comment came off that way. If so, I apologize.
I have a lot invested in Eurocharged as a company, and Tony is a personal friend of mine. Neither of which I wish anything bad upon.
...and like you I have too decided to go with the dashdaq, and probably a MS-3 Knock Sensor as well, mostly just for peace of mind. Wish I could have jumped on this, but oh well. I'll save up a bit more and pull the trigger.

no worries. im still a fan of e/c and will have tony retune my 32 when he comes to atl. just being a proactive modder now instead of a uninformed one!!
My comments sound harsh too. I like what I've seen of Eurocharged and hope they stay around, but stepping up to E55's, 63's brings in a new type of client and risk and from my point of view, a learning curve. Blown engines are a big deal to clients even if they know before hand that what their doing has a degree of danger. I have a Dashdaq and I use it. I have a Zietronix, still in the box, but it will be installed before I get a tune. And if you spend the money on a tune I assume it's to go fast.... or "race". Perhaps the real issue is allowing owners to think it's completely safe. Not saying that's what happened, but perhaps what some clients believe.
