FS or WTT: Complete SL55 intake setup with TVT tubes
Hi all,
Short version:
SL 55 setup, complete, with TVT tubes and brand new K&N filters for sale for $500, shipping and paypal fees included. You can't buy these parts anymore without spending an arm and a leg. I paid $600 for everything.
I also would like to grab a used NW DUAL CAI setup and would be willing to trade this setup plus some extra $$$ if anyone is considering the swap. From what I've read the NW dual does gain a bit more in the HP department but not sure if it'd even be noticable.
Here's the long version:
So I installed the SL55 intake setup last week and have been driving the xfire HARD since. The difference is VERY noticeable: it feels much crisper at partial and wide open throttle and you can DEFINITELY tell the difference... it is night and day as others with the SL55 setup describe. I can hear a considerable difference in supercharger whine compared to the stock setup due to the addition of unrestrictive TVT intake pipes. It is a stock looking setup, will most likely pass CARB inspections and such for those of you living in california. From reading posts, looks like about a 25 rwhp increase over stock.
HOWEVER...
I am very OCD when it comes to a lot of things, my cars included. And by very, i mean EXTREMELY. If i dont like 1 small thing in the setup, no matter how minuscule, I just wont get my "warm and fuzzy" feeling that I'm looking for and I'll scrap the project.
With that said, even though I was provided proper mounting brackets for the setup, I just don't like the way it sits. And that's enough for me to sell this setup in favor of a dual NW setup. Like I said, there is nothing wrong with the setup whatsoever, it looks great (I spent about 4 hours cleaning everything before I installed it).

what do you mean by "the way it sits"? the way it mounts on the rubber mounts on the engine or the way it sits without the oem center cover? if it is the mounts try adj. them. if its the center cover you can cut the tabs off and rotate them to fit in the airboxes and epoxy them back in place. just an idea
