Default Scammed by a member!

Well it looks like I have gotten taken by a user on these forums. Told me he would sell me his third brake light for $125 I was a little leary, but hey it was only $125 and I really needed the brake light. He took my money order and sent me two front turn signal lights from an old Chevy truck.
Wont respond to any emails or PMs. Enjoy my money. But carma comes around . You will get yours. I do not forget. User name here is BALIAN. Stay away.

Also, I still need a third brake light for my Roadster if anyone has one.

Report him to a mod and have him dumped.

For $125 some people would steal their dying mothers pain killers.

He has tried to scam others here by the look of his posts, says he sold a fog light but that deal had fallen through when he offered to send the part before payment, and when the buyer took him up on that offer he suddenly had the wrong side light.

Could you let us know where he is from, city state etc.
We can Google him too.

You know his name and address, report him to the cops, who knows he may have a record and this may be a parole violation. Federal crime probably, but I guess that means f*** all these days.

Report to your local police department. I had purchased a part for a '66 Cadillac years ago and the money order was deposited and I never received the parts. Like you I never got a reply to any attempt to contact. Local Police contacted his local Police and he had a real reputation. Long story short He ended up being charged with inter state fraud and I did eventually get my part..and I had to call the local D.A. since it was part of his "restitution" to either pay me or ship that yes I did receive the part... By the time I got the part though I had sold the car. Ebayed it and made a little profit .....Good Luck

The three-vehicle accident occurred on FM 3068 near FM 511 outside Brownsville at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday, dispatch logs show.

Texas Department of Public Safety trooper Eusebio Salazar said witnesses reported seeing an orange vintage Ford Falcon racing a black Ford Mustang. Salazar said both sports cars were heading north on FM 3068 with the Mustang driving against traffic on the southbound lane.

Brownsville resident Juan Carlos Gonzalez told investigators that he was driving south on FM 3068 with his 10-year-old daughter, Karla Cassandra Gonzalez, when he saw the cars coming.

The 35-year-old man pulled his truck over on the shoulder, but the driver of the Ford Falcon lost control of his vehicle and slammed into the pickup.

Salazar said the Mustang fled the scene while a Ford Expedition stopped to help tow away the Ford Falcon.

Gonzalez told investigators that he stopped the men from towing the Ford Falcon away, but that they fled the scene in the Expedition.

Paramedics treated Gonzalez at the scene but took his daughter to the Valley Regional Medical Center to treat several minor injuries. The girl was released from the hospital late Tuesday night.

Both the drivers of the Mustang and the Falcon are facing drag racing and failure to stop and render aid charges but remain unidentified at press time Saturday.

Salazar said Brownsville resident Johnny Angel Ruvalcaba is the registered owner of the Falcon but claims to have sold it four or five months ago to an unknown person who did not transfer the title.

Anyone with information on the accident is asked to call the Texas Department of Public Safety at (956) 423-1160.

I repaired mine by installing red led strip lights .Drill a small hole on each side of the brake light to run your wires.

There is a place that rebuilds the third brake lights in TN. Their website is ledfix.com and their address is:

Logan Diagnostic
209 Lighthouse Terrace
Franklin, TN 37064 USA
615. 479. 1900

I called them for pricing and was quoted $125. Comes with a warranty. I haven't done mine yet, but this is where I plan on sending mine.

Sorry to hear this, that's a bummer. Can't believe people today no respect for others. I agree what "goes around" comes around" he'll get his turn.

Happened to me on another car forum. NEVER send a money order to someone you do not know/trust. Paypal is the way to go. Guaranteed to get your money back if you are taken for a ride. You can usually tell a dishonest seller when they ONLY accept cash and/or money orders.

A U.S. or Canadian Postal Money Order in a failed transaction would constitute mail fraud. I'd bring the Post Master General onboard for the discussion. That would eclipse jurisdiction boundaries and they love to chase these things relentlessly.Years ago when I was leary of this type of thing and before PayPal was around, this is what the bank suggested to me. They said it was the best thing to have if things went other than as anticipated. Just notion for you to follow up.

And some would do it for free!!!! My step-dads twacked out sister's twacked out son (who's a freshman in high school) stole his grandmothers pills off of her night stand in front of about 20 people, 5 seconds after she passed as we all bowed our heads in silence. One of the relatives caught him do it but out of respect neglected to tell my step-dad until a little bit better time. Within 5 minutes all of the pills for her liver and pain were snorted. This Grandmother was also the one who raised this boy most of his life, until he got older and bolted with his tweaker mom to Mexico. The stories I can tell about those two would make any man want to kick their asses. Some people in this world do not care about who they hurt, and how its done. Its unfortunate that you were robbed of money, I would report the person and try to get it straightened out with the local authorities in that area or something since you know where he lives. Do not let this person win, people need a taste of reality to freshen them up sometimes. About the brake light, MrMopar.

I sent the loser one last email and advised him of the fact that this is indeed mail fraud and is a federal offensive. Three days from now the Brownsville Texas police dept will have his info.

Forgive the ignorance but I had to Google the word twacked and tweaker, With this in your background and you having done as well as you have I would say there is hope for the future generations. Stay the course.
Good luck in the future.

9/21 I sent this message Hi Stacey

I will buy the red door panel from you for $50 plus $20 shipping. Do you take paypal? What is the email address?

Randy

09/25 your response:
Hey Randy...awesome. My paypal is itsalldisney@aol.com. I can get it out to you by Thursday!

09/25 Paid through paypal

9/27 my response:
Were you able to send out the door panel today?

09/28 your response:

Sorry...I didnt hear back from you. I just checked paypal! I will send it out tomorrow !Thanks so much!

9/29 my response again:
Were you able to send out the door panel today?

10/4 my response after my reply to my concern:
I canceled the payment through paypal. I guess you are to busy or just a scammer. I will be reporting you to the moderater to have you removed from the forum.

10/4 your response after I canceled payment:
Yes my work days are 12hours right now so I am busy as a manager with long hours right now. I told you I would send it Thursday but didnt hear back from you that you made a payment. It went out saturday like I told you after I saw you sent payment. Some people are to busy to be online during the week...I am one of them! If you don't pay for it then you gained something for free....**** happens. I hope you really needed it. No worries or hard feelings, lifes to short!

Stay safe
Stacey

-------
As you note in my previous post, I said either you were very busy OR a scammer. Maybe I am gun shy due to previous issues with buying things from people and when the topic of scammers came up and you failed to respond in a timely basis(more than 3 days went by). Also, the fact that you only had 14 posts over a 5-6 month period, yes I am leary.

You stated you sent it out on Saturday, but as of today, Thursday 10-4 the door panel has not been received. If I receive the door panel, I will pay you the monies owed to you.

P.S. It is Randall or Randy, not Randell.

Thank you StacEy.... Keep working those 12 hour days so when you are my age you can chill a bit. Been there done that.

Reponse rec'd 10/06
I imagined it would take 7 days. I didnt send it UPS because they wanted $30 to ship. I sent it regular postal... that was $26. Then you can check the date it was mailed...last Saturday! If it gets lost, don't pay, I wouldn't if I didnt get something. I have faith you will get it

Stay safe
Stacey

Message sent today. Monday 10/8/2012

Do you have the tracking number for USPS? Your statement, "If it gets lost, don't pay, I wouldn't if I didnt get something", tells me it wasn't sent. The post office generally doesn't lose things on a regular basis. I will be very pleasantly surprised if it shows up on Tuesday since today is a holiday for the post office.
