Are our cars ok to run with 18" wheels in the rear?

 

Yes is the short answer. The long answer: I'm running the 18x9 rim with a 275/40/18 Nitto tire in back, which is just a little taller than the stock 255/35/19 and 20mm wider. I run a 10mm spacer on the 32mm offset rim, but I don't believe that it's necessary. SCCA allows running a 1 inch diameter smaller or larger rim in Solo Street classes, and that's why I got these rims. I wanted to lose some weight, but these rims are heavy (about 32 lbs each), which means the tire and rim weigh 60.2 pounds. Hope that helps.

 

It looks like you might have done what I did. I bought the rears hoping the 18x8 fronts would come back in stock but they went manufacturer discontinued. If you happen to have the 18x8s I NEED them. Best of luck. I may have to sell mine too if I can't locate the 2 18x8s.
