Question Alarm

Sinca a few days I have a problem with the alarm. Sometimes the car is locked and the alarm starts without any reason and the other problem is, during driving the car the alarm starts. I can only stop the alarm when I stop the car lock and unlock the doors with the remote. Is here anybody who can help me with this problem?
In some german forum is writen about the alarm module, where is it placed in the car and is it possible to change?
Thanks in advance!
Andy

First things first.

Congratulations!

The alarm usually sounds when the car battery is getting old.
Or
The alarm battery is failing.

The battery should be replaced if it is the original Varta battery from the factory. You may have other symptoms of a failing battery, the spoiler may pop up when you start the car for instance.

The battery inside the alarm module can be replaced as well with some work. Buying a siren should be easy in Germany, use the Mercedes part number when ordering it as it will be exactly the same part but half the price. The new siren should beep when the car is locked and unlocked.
