Well, at least you are brave enough to post the good and the bad! Good thing no one was right behind ya (or did I just miss seeing them?)

Hey, didn't you say you bought a rig (transporter) for your car? Send some pics when it's decked out.

It was a morning practice lap nobody was behind me... I'm in the market for a transporter, haven't bought one yet. In the interim I'm using a buddies PU truck and rent a flatbed trailer from uhaul when I go to the track... LOL

This one would be big enough for a Crossfire. It's cheap too!

This one would be sweet! http://texastrailerman.com/preowned6.htm
Too bad there are so many miles between you and the trailer. Bill runs across some good deals from time to time. It's nice to have guys like that in the Mopar club.

I think there's a touch of the John Woo's about that Derek! Must be the flames and slomo. Glad you escaped unscathed!

...that reminds me that I must dig out the clip of me taking a detour on to the grass in the PT after hitting 5th instead of 3rd.

Yeah, it's nice, but where's the shower and the bar? And where are all those vinyl stickers and promotional materials gonna go...we'll have to thinking about adding some mods to this base platform.

Woody, couldn't see/hear what you did there, miss the break point, or the turn in? (a bit of both). That wasn't too bad and by the looks of it, you weren't in virgin grass either, seems it's been a bit worn exiting that corner. Also, I think I'm going to call you Jean Alesi Jr., you got that same head lean going like my boy Alesi used to do...lol. Good stuff.

Looks like the first left after coming down from the top at the end of the front straight at the Streets of Willow Springs going clockwise. Sneaky turn that...

If you can believe I went off the track at the bowl. Late in the afternoon of a hot summer day, I got a little high and into the marbles...closest way to describe it was like hitting a patch of black ice. Nice track, fences are a good distance from the track...

Good luck to you and srt6_crossfire at the track this weekend.

That's the turn... a little off camber slight down hill. It was my first lap of the morning, cold tires, cold track, sleepy driver... LOL

Should be a good day on Saturday providing it doesn't get above 100 (i wish)... I send postcards... LOL

Now that looks like fun... Every time you push it to that point, makes you learn the limitations of the car and the line of the course... BRAVO...

PS: I thought a PT Cruiser was a family wagon until now !!! LOL

I think I'll goof with your video a little bit if you don't mind...

I had actually selected 5th instead of 3rd, so as I rolled off the brakes and turned in I ended up going in a tad too fast. The PT was always great fun on the track, especially since no one expected it to be so quick!

Feel free to goof about. Here's more from the same session.
