Okay, FINALLY got this thing edited and pushed up to youtube... enjoy.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7n6HMopW80
NOTE: YouTube changed the aspect ratio... it WAS 16:9 ...
EDIT: My laptime in that video was about 2:39 I believe. I'll have to look at the timecoding again to be sure.
EDIT 2: For those who have the DivX codec and windows media player... I've hosted the original 21 MB AVI file.
Just right click and save.
If you have problems with the movie looking color separated in Windows Media Player, please try the DivX Player.

Great video Jody... And a terrific job of learning that track in just a few events... It's weird to see your right hand on the steering wheel all the time, I forget that you don't have to shift the car...
Did you roll the camera when Annie was your instructor ? I would love to hear what that little hottie had to say during your laps !!!

Annie was very professional (I'm sure she gets hit on VERY often). It was mostly reminders to 'use all of the track' and 'you're coming in too hot'.
Thinking back, I probably should have had tape rolling on that last session as I think I made some of my best progress on my line, but there's always next event.
P.S. - Looks like this server has it's clock wrong...

Yes the clock is wrong... Anyway... It looks like you did a great job for your first time on the track... I only had the chance to observe from the pit lanes while you were flying by... The thing that I find amusing with your video is that your tires squeal... That doesn't happen on racing slicks... No squeal, so therefore you never know when they are ready to break loose until it's too late and you start sliding across the track... Surprise !!!
PS: I think I have the ECU ESP thing worked out... Stewart from SDS racing is going to take my ECU and try to do the mods to turn off the traction control and tune the car for full race spec. I'll keep you posted. Also, the owner of Metric Motors has given me an AMG long block to see if I can build it into my car with the current electronics... If it works, I have to purchase it for $8,000 (GULP)... He gave me the specs. and it turns out that your car has light weight pistons, different cams, larger oil pump, etc... He believes I can replace the engine internals with the AMG version of the engine and still keep it naturally aspirated with slight tweaks to the computer, so I could stay in TTD class without the tech inspectors knowing that I have a different (higher HP) engine...

Well I truly enjoyed the vids. I found myself sitting in my chair and leaning into the curves with you. Mine hits the track once a year. Perhaps that is not enough.
