I downloaded yesterday's episode of the UK car show "Fifth Gear" and there was a piece on track day driving by Vicki Butler-Henderson. She was out at Oulton Park in a BMW 330D, talking about how much fun you can have on track in an ordinary, but capable, car and that you don't need a dedicated ride like a Caterham, Porsche GT3, etc.

Anyway, at one point she goes by a Sapphire Silver Blue Crossfire Coupe - just like Simon's (woody) and I know he's a regular track rat in the UK. I don't know when this was filmed, but I have to think word would have gotten around at driver meetings that Fifth Gear was there with a camera crew and VBH was on track.

How the hell did you spot that Mike? I was up at Oulton Park taking my race licence test and Fifth Gear happened to be there too filming the 330d. The track was lethal that day with red flags every half hour or so, and several pieces of very expensive machinery ending up in the barriers! There was even a red flag during my test!

License just came through today so look out for a Crossfire in the LMA series soon - just need to find another car to prep!

How did I spot that? C'mon, a Crossfire in the background of the second best (my apologies to VBH and Tiff) car show on TV? Hard NOT to miss. SSB Crossfire on track in the UK so I figured odds were good that it was you.

I'm itching to get mine back on track as well, but track days are few and far between here, and they never seem to fit in with my schedule.
