les the cost for 103 unleaded race fuel 12$ per gallon and 12$ per gallon to ship. so 5 gallons runs just under 120$$!!!! for me to run my 103 race file i have to be on empty then add the 5 gals of race fuel. so its a real pain. i live 2 hrs from the track so i burn most of the fuel just getting there.
because there werent any bracket or gambler races and so many non racing cars the prep was minimal on the track. street tires will actually peel the prep off the track while drag radials will lay another layer of rubber down.
thats why some tracks run 1 lane for street and 1 lane for drags

Won't this lead to issues with your BASP or whatever Porsche calls it. I would only guess that it would be set up to sense a differentail in wheel speed between F & R or are you able to overide the system?

psm (porsche stability management) nope wont bother it at all. this has been done for yrs on the 996 turbo. for now i just dropped the driveshaft. if i like the way it feels ill drop the axles and front diff as well for about 70 lbs weight savings. add a set of oem rear wheels (18x11) and a set of hoosier 315/30-18 dr's and try to break something! i have a set of 18x8.5 and 18x12 forgestar cf5 ordered for the street and will run pirelli p rosso 315/30-18
winter projects include intake tubes, 4.5" intercoolers , 72 lb injectors, 1 bar wastegates, forge hoses and a new tune. should put me about 600 rwhp. if it doesnt get me in the 10's then ill send my turbos out for a billet wheel rebuild and run 1.4 bar ( approx 20 psi)

It appears that you have a definitive direction and will be busy this winter......as well as working to pay for all those mods.
Good luck at the track this weekend, I'm sure you've had your fill of having Grips tail lights in front of you.

I'm surprised all of your new mods didn't make more of a difference to your times. aren't the needswings intake manifolds good for 30 hp alone?

Those times are awesome! Thanks for posting the vid’s and pics.

Alright Grip Grip and anyone else who is willing to give some tips.

I am not a racing expert like some of you but I go to the track and do my best but still cannot get my 60’ times near 1.8 sec. The best I have done is 1.97 with a 12.41 qtr at 113mph. I am not running slicks/drag radials yet but I know some have been able to accomplish lower 60’ times without them. It may just require practice!!!

I had EC dyno the car at 375 hp at the rear wheel so I should be able to run better. Also, since I installed the Wavetrac my times and launches did become much more consistent but not where I would like them to be. Rob at NW is presently modifying my stock intake manifolds to get a few more horses under the hood as well so let's hope for faster runs in my future!

A few comments:

1. The picture of Grip Grip’s car with the fans looks crazy. It must work if you are doing it right?...so it looks like I will be bringing fans next time I go to the track.

2. So I am sitting here watching the racing video with the kids and wife sleeping nearby and of course must have the sound on so I can hear the cars passing by. So I get the sound just right so that I can hear it without disturbing everyone else….until some guy blurts out at the end of the run “11.7”. Yeah, I see earplugs in my future.

3. In the picture with the fans, what is the water sprayer for?

Later and thanks!

Yes, that was Steve yelling out the results.
As for the fans, they work well. One cools the HE and the other cools the engine. I cycle the key every few minutes to pump the hot water into the HE so that it can be cooled by the fan. The sprayer is a water/alcohol mix for the HE.
