And it would all depend on what you were doing during that 100,000 mile run.

The engine is not the weakest link. The rear end (spider gears?) will get eaten up by the power before the engine does unless you are lookong to go more extreme than anyone here has done. Look to guys like grip grip that are in the 11s and run frequently. Besides the known IC and rear end issues id say you are pretty safe but again I don't know how extreme you want to go. There are a few low 12 second daily drivers out there and a couple 11s if you count the SC v8 guys

My coupe has just over 102k currently and is running as strong as ever (knocking on wood ).The last dyno was 378 RWHP. It is my DD by chioce. All but 40 of those miles have contributed to my enjoyment of the car. I have run the 1/8 and 1/4 mile a few times and had a blast each time I have done it. My PB is 12.16 but I am told my 20" rims and street tires slow me down a bit. I enjoy mountain road running and track days.

All most all of my mods have been Needswings products with guidance from Rob and speedriven products with guidance from Rudy. They both are all about drivability and longevity. Rob will not release a product until it is tested and safe. I would strongly suggest you find someone as knowledgable as these two when you consider adding a mod. In conversation Rob has said he would not be surprised to see a modded SRT THAT IS WELL MAINTAINED make it to 200K.

I am on my 3rd IC pump, replaced an oxygen sensor, had a few water hoses fail and replaced a crank pully that was beging to fail. Other than that as far as maintainence I change the oil every 5k to 6k, have changed the tranny fluid at 50k and 100k, coolant flush at 60k, replaced plugs and wires twice and retired a working IC at 90 k and replaced it with Rudys new unit.

The most hp I remember is Eric's twin charged SRT that was producing 451 RWHP with expectations of hitting 500. I would like to know how that turned out. He was working with Buckhead imports in Atlanta.

In my experience these AMG hand built motors accept power mods quite well.

I don't think you have to worry about getting to 100K, you have to worry about running out of money getting to 100K.....lol. That is my problem modding 2 at a time...thank God they are all but done...

There's an app for that

Use search and look for 'separated cooling'

Rob, I am old school as well... Go here: www.needswing.com and look for Rob's, yes another Rob, separation kit for the SRT6. Simple, easy to do....

I was running a stacked (high boost) setup at over 90K miles with no issues. The car ran strong (11.7's) until I totaled it. I checked the compression on it a few months before I wrecked it and everything looked great. These engines are very well built and I doubt the normal modding will keep it from hitting 200K. Just keep the air/fuel in check and you'll be golden. Run it lean and all bets are off.
