Default x-fire vs rsx

Yet, again tonight my friend tried to run my crossfire, he lost. He seems to think his cold air intake would change his HP that he wouldn't lose by three cars again. I gutted my back two cats out, must have made a big difference because i pulled harder then the last two times i raced him (when he just had exhaust). He has a cat back exhaust and a cold air. Mine car is almost stock except for the cats. I think from third gear i left him by more than a semi worth of space. I'm going to hate to see the race when i bolt on my Mopar exhaust and get my upsolute chip flash in the next month!!! We need a darn turbo kit soon for this car that’s not 10 grand!

What does it sound like with the gutted cats? Is it noticeable? The sensor doesn't give you a check engine light? Do you think it will pass emissions?

I have not put it on the lift to verify yet, but I have been told that ALL Mercedes O2 sensors are in front of the Cats. No it will not pass emissions, and if you get caught the fine is hefty. But if you were using this for "Off Road Purposes" then no issues...

Yeah there's a difference, in sound and performance. From about 3 to 5 you can really hear the sound in the rpms. I know its illegal but, i ran no cats on my camaro and dakota rt. At least i still have the two pre cats on here.

It might pass emissions but not visual inspection if removed! Gutted rear cats might pass, when the car is good and warmed up.
