Throttle being electronic means there is a servo opening the butterfly. Butterfly can still not close all the way when warm.

Just cannot close it by pulling on the pedal. Could tell very quickly with a scan tool or my cell phone since one of the OBD-II parameters is throttle (butterfly) position.

Just finished replacing the throttle body with a 74 mm...letting the motor learn the new throttle body first before seeing if the issue is still there

Have you tried doing a throttle body reset?

Also, it could be the throttle position sensor starting to fail.

I did do the throttle reset. If I'm not mistaken we dont have a throttle position sensor, but you're talking about the accelerator pedal sensor?

Yes, I meant the gas / accelerator pedal position sensor.
When these start to fail they can give odd symptoms.

I believe so.
All you can do is narrow it down.

AFAIK, the throttle position sensor sends a signal to the ecu. The ecu interprets this signal, in turn operating the throttle body. You've already replaced the throttle body, and mis-interpretation of the signal by the ecu is reasonably unlikely - leaving the tps?

The TPS IS the throttle body ! It is a resistive strip on a circuit board inside the black cover.

That is the Throttle PEDAL Assembly, I repeat, the TPS is integral to the throttle body :

So if it is the pedal, are all the pedals the same? I have an 05 base with a 6spd. Part number?

Apologies xfire,

Over the pond we often call the accelerator the throttle.
I'm referring to the sensor in the accelerator pedal, which we would often call the tps.

Well I'd start here with a shot of normal idle and another of high idle. (Torque Pro on Android)
