What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Supercharger oil change - Major lesson learned (have at least 10 extra drain plugs ready first)
RULE 1: HAVE EXTRA REPLACEMENT DRAIN PLUGS (AT LEAST 10) AVAILABLE BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE DRAIN PLUG. You WILL drop some, and they disappear easily. I have at least 5 still in my engine compartment somewhere. I started with 10. I have 5 left.
The supercharger drain plug is size: M10-1.0mm x 10mm. Here are other useful sizes that also fit (DIN 906 - DP10X1.0.OTSS, and a few more). However, M10-1.0mm x 10mm works perfect and is easy to come by- if you plan ahead and order from ebay. If not, good luck finding one, even in a major metropolis like San Francisco. Fastenall sells them, but not from every store.
GET 10 EXTRA BACKUP DRAIN PLUGS (size:M10-1.0 X 10mm) BEFORE YOU START THE OIL CHANGE!!!
YOU DO NOT NEED TO REMOVE THE SC PULLEY, even the larger stock pulley. The smaller aftermarket pulleys make access to the plug easy. However, the original equipment SC pulley is an obstacle, but can be done. Use a 5 mm allen tool with rounded or swivel tip. You will need the swivel to get the threads to line up. Have a telescoping magnet to hold/retrieve the plug. You may have to cut down a 5mm Allen to get the job done. So have plenty of 5mm allen screws available to experiment with, especially with rounded swivel tips.

Happy refurbished wheel Day
Picked up my Refurbished SRT Wheels
I purchased them used and they weren’t what I was lead to believe
Alberta Wheel welded in new material, sanded, painted, ran all 4 through the CNC and a final clear. They look new
Plus I drove down to Montana to pick up my coil overs and other crossfire stuff (Thanks Rob).

Had a little free time on my hands to do some headlights restoration using Turtle Wax which turned out amazingly to my surprise!! Also did some dry cleaning underneath the hood until I have more time to do a full detail... hopefully soon.
Next up: DIY DCAI install, possible 65mm pulley and a tune within the week.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
My attempt to do the rear window repair on my Roadster.
Fortunately only a small length of the glue had let loose.
After carefully spending more than 2 hours I followed these steps:
This stuff is a mess but fortunately I was wearing latex gloves
I raised the bow and first scraped all the old glue from the glass in the place where the repair was needed and made sure it was clean and dry
I placed a folded bath towel and placed it inside behind the glass to give it support against the canvas.
I then applied painters tape and masked all of the outside of the glass where the canvas top meets the glass so that all the excess glue that might squeeze out from the canvas would be on tape that I can simply remove from the glass for a quick cleanup
I first applied the and allowed it to dry as instructed before squeezing the bead of
I finished by using some strips of gorilla tape and carefully pressed them against the glass and canvas again with the towel beneath the glass for support
I then closed the top completely and latched it.
Now I'll just let it sit overnight and tomorrow carefully remove the strips of gorilla tape and then the painters tape from the glass and see if the repair was successful

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
I removed the tape strips this morning and carefully cut the excess glue bead along the edge of the canvas and pulled the painters tape from the glass
The repair came out nicely but I'm gonna leave it in the garage at 60 degrees for the week since I wont be using the car anyway
