I have some friends with "Non Crossfire" drop tops. Would it be OK with the group if I invited them (if they behave themselves..) or do we want to keep the GTG brand specific only?

Talking about Z4, 350Z, Corvette, Jag XK8, Mr2 Spyder, Audi TT, Miatas.... I would like to convert them to the Crossfire way of doing things....

I'm a newbie here, but for what it's worth, I say the more the merrier. Good wine, great cars, and some back roads in Oklahoma-makes for a Great Day

Unfortunately, if we do a Sunday, we probably wont' be able to do the Winery cruise. (I'm assuming, and you know what that means.)

That sounds great! I look forward to meeting them!

In the same spirit, I'm bringing a buddy, his wife, and a tuned RX-7 to slay the dragon.

Sounds great to me also, where do we meet up at? Do we start somewhere else and then drive to the wineries?

Oklahoma Meet Details

When: January 18, 2009
Where: "Pops" in Arcadia, on Route 66
Time: 01:00 PM
Cruise: Stroud Wineries around 02:00PM

Hello Oklahoma Crossfire owners! Here's a little bit about where we are going to have the Second meet:

DETAILS ABOUT THE PLACE:
I've enjoyed spending a day crusing down Route 66 here in Oklahoma. The road consists of mild hills and long sweepers. I still haven't seen any cops out there. (Probably because the speeders take I-44) I like to stop at "Pops" soda stand for an exotic bubbly beverage. I've been there several times now, and each time there have been a half dozen classic, exotic, or rare vehicles.

Pops has the largest selection of "gourmet" soda I've ever seen. I was even able to buy a bottle of Moxie elixar that I haven't seen since I was in Maine.

I e-mailed StableRidge Winery about our plans and this is the response she sent back:
"That sounds wonderful! We will look forward to doing a tour and tasting with your group! See you soon!!

StableRidge winery"
We even get a tour

I won't be able to make it on the 18th.

I was recently notified that I will need to be in Austin on the 19th to take a test for the Presidential Management Fellows program, something I've been working on for a really long time. Although I will be absent, I'll still be there in spirit. I look forward to hearing about the meet and wine tasting.

Reminder,

Sunday is rapidly approaching. Looks like Weather.com is guessing that the weather will be "Sunny" and 47 degrees. Not bad!

I will be leaving Sand Springs with several friends, at noon, and we should hit the winery around 1:00. I understand that the folks in the western part of the state planned to meet a Pop's and be at the winery about 2:00. We will see you there!

Anyone that is in the Tulsa area that wants to "convoy" down Route 66, with us, should meet in the KMart parking lot in Sand Springs. We will leave there at 12:00 sharp.

Contact me if you have any questions.
