Then I would think the simplest way would be with a N/O relay driven by start/run voltage and supplying fused 12v to whatever circuit for the lights you want to come on with the ignition.
Wire, relay, fuses should be less than $10 US.
( you could run the start/run 12v going to the relay through a switch also, that would allow you the choice of having DRL's or not )

Nokke: what mrmiata is reffering to is a US ( or Oklahoma ) law that requires DRL's to be OFF when headlights are ON. May not apply in Finland.

Same here, so DRL's need to turn off, when headlights are on..

Thanks for this also, need to check this closer.

How hard it is to get DRLs turn off when headlights are turned on? Need it new light-switch?

Am I trying totally impossible?

A "normally closed" relay with a key on hot supply will turn on DRLS anytime the ignition is turned on. I haven't checked but planning on tapping the headlight fuse if its "downstream" of the headlight switch for power to "open" the relay to turn them off. If not I will directly tap the headlight hot lead.
