Default Running Lean?

I've been reading some conflicting information about adding an exhaust and/or a CAI. Some have said it will cause you to run lean. This would then cause the need for new injectors and an upgraded ECU. That sounded a bit over kill to me for just swapping out the exhaust. In my car experience, with only one exception, there were no negative side effects when a car of mine had new exhaust added to it. However, I am not counting the neighbors complaints about the noise

Is there anyone out there with only a CAI or Magnaflow exhaust that has experienced pinging or any other problems? Let me know either way.
Thanks,

The lean condition is found on N/A cars, which you have. It's caused by en ECU flash and CAI, adding a free flowing exhaust adds to the lean condition. Freeing up exhaust flow will lean out any engine.
