Oil change/pumping out oil
Hello, quick quesiton, has anyone used any of the mechanical pumps that you insert into the dipstick to change out the oil instead of going by way of drain plug? Griotts garage sells a nice one, however, they dont say exactly if it will work with the crossfire, and to work the hose which goes in the dipstick has to obviously be the proper diameter to fit in, AND they said it cant have a seperate dry sump (pressurized?) as in Porsches, or the pump won't work, I can order one and useit, and if it dosn't work return it, but would like to know if anyone has tried this or a similar device. thanks Scott

Well, Infinite, IF I were MOST PEOPLE, you may have a point, but IM not, Im me, and I prefer NOT to crawl up under the thing, jack it up, when, if this works, its a heck of a lot EASIER and faster. That being said, to each his own, if you enjoy doing it the other way, so be it. Back to the original question, has anyone used such a device successfully? Please, if you have something useful to add, Im all ears, if not, dont waste my and others time.
we use them at the motorcycle shop i work at all the time
they work flawlessly as long as you maintain them
depending on where you insert them they dont get 100% of the old oil out
but point is... they work
and god forbid we have to get dirty working on cars (lol)
