SERIOUS question

Hey guys I got my oil changed today. These guys have always done my vehicles and do GREAT work. When they pulled my oil filter out today the plastic shaft have broke off about 2" past the oil filter. Has anybody else had this happen to them before? The car had not used ANY oil and I have seen no pressure warning or anything. I do plan on getting the oil filter assembly replaced would you guys drive the car? I Pretty much drive it daily right now as I just sold my beater daily and am in search of a winter beater..

I don't beat on the Xfire at all it hardly ever sees 4000 rpm.

Ran by "satan" ( the dealer) this morning got a quote for 83.75 for the ENTIRE setup, cap, shaft, o-rings, new OEM filter...I figured it would have been 2x that price...not bad.

Wow that is way too much. I'll ship you one for 50.00 with all the same goodies. Or just go to MB and get one. LIst is only like 40.00 on those. Chrysler are crooks!
