RCM Question again..
I know multiple people have had problems with this, and I just wanted to see if this is related. The stock radio in my car turns off and back on apparently whenever it feels like it. It has recently gotten cold, and the screen in the mornings runs quite slow. From what I have read, I am pretty sure that I already need a RCM due to some shutting down episodes it just did. I was just wondering if replacing it would fix the radio as well?
So living in Houston the weather changes so drastically in an hour it is hard to keep up with. Since it is now back in the 70s, I haven't had a single problem again. I took it to my mechanic, and he told me the RCM would cost around $280. Does that sound about right? I tried to see if I could get it online and couldn't find it anywhere, including the links in previous discussions here. So now I am debating whether or not to go ahead and do it, or wait to see if it happens again. (Especially since I already replaced the RCM a year and a half ago). Any suggestions?
