when i first got my car back in february the transmission jerked a little and stuttered when i would go around corners after i slowed down and then went to give it gas. so i took it to clutch n' go and was told that it had a bad speed input sensor. it was replaced after $500 and all seemed well. but recently it seems to do the same thing. and sometimes (rarely)when i really get on the gas it just downshifts into 1st and stays there until i drive for a mile or 2. or pull over....put it in park, then go again. its really frustating and im not sure whats going on? and i dont beat my car at all, this thing is my baby. i know how some people drive.

I may be wrong but the first gear only sounds like the limp mode. I had similar problems with another car and it was due to insufficient fuel supply, but in your case I am not at all sure, sorry.
