New Wheels and TPMS Arghhh!
So heres the deal, I just got my mandrus installed with my OEM TPMS installed in them, puth them on the car, and my Tire Pressure warning light continues to stay on!
Are these sensors finicky about which wheel they are in and which side they are on? I labeled them for the installer and so that they would be in the correct wheels but I am no expert on TPMS so I am not sure if there is something I am missing.
Is it because I went to larger wheels 19/20 inch setup and the tire pressures may be different...
Grasping at straws.....
Help!!

I may be able to work something as well but wondered why they would not have simply been a simple swap and replace with no issues...

The stealer reset/retaught the wheel sensors for nothing.
Did you check the air pressure….these babies are sensitive one or two pounds off and my light will come one. You should not need to do anything for them to work in the new tires….the sensors do not know what rim they are installed on or care, they only look at pressure. Did the tire installer damage a sensor? I know that discount tire does a sensor “rebuild” ever time they change a tire. I would put more air in each tire to see if it turns off.
I quit trying they are more of a pain. Slicks, street tires,Slicks, street tires,Slicks, street tires,Slicks, street tires,Slicks, street tires,Slicks, street tires.
It is a terrible mess and going to the dealer for service is beyone my pain threshold. cut some 3M # 33 tape 1/2" square to cover the light and enjoy the peace. There is little to be gained on this car as we are all into the car and a june bug gets attention if its on the door. checking tire pressure is not an issue, plus you may choose to run a different tire and corresponding pressure.
my thoughts Woody

Not knowing how sensitive or finicky these things are I am never sure.
THanks

I have no idea why but after taking her out and putting the tires to a test she came back clean!
Thanks for the help all but I really wish I understood how these things worked.
At one point, when installing new tires, on stock rims, I had also installed new sensors. The tire guy had the tool to reset the sensors. The light would not go out. Went to the dealer and they charged $45 to reset the computer and sensors. No problem since.
