popping out of first gear

Default popping out of first gear

has anyone had issues of thier 6 speeds popping out of gear if you rest your hand on the shifter the wrong way.... i guess what i am saying is it seems mine comes out of gear real easy... making a heck of a bang!

No problems with either XF or my A4 or A6 MT6s. I was taught not to rest my hand on the gearshift so it could vibrate and move unrestricted.

that must be it..... have driven quite a few standards, but, have never had this happen.... makes one hell of a *bang*

This happened to me 2 times in 4+ years. There was a TSB out on this but I think they fixed it in newer models. I mentioned it to the dealer and one day I will have them investigate. Just trying to avoid bringing my car in.
