Hi guys,

I have an 05 srt6 with about 52k on it. I noticed something weird the other day while taking off from a red light. I had my hand rested on the gear shifter(obviously auto) and it started to move slightly back and forth all on its own. Since then it happends almost everytime I accelerate, it is correlated to how fast I take off as well. The harder I hit the pedal the more it moves. Thankfully it doesnt fall out of drive or anything like that(it moves maybe quarter of an inch in each direction). I'm just wondering if this is normal and if anyone else has experienced it before. If not I have the car under warranty and will take it in soon. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Without a doubt, IT IS YOUR MOTOR MOUNTS.

 

Yes, Motor mounts most likely the cause.

I weouldn't push it hard until you check it out as the rem,aing mounts are now doing double duty.

About any decent shop can fix this.
