I am hoping that someone else may have had these problems so that I can get my car fixed. My car will just shut off while I am driving it, the dash lights and radio and things still work but it just stops. The other problem is that sometimes it will not start, I turn the key and get nothing...but the same thing dash lights, windows radio etc. work. It will eventually will start in 1/2 hour or 2 hours. I have had it to the dealership 3 times in 1 month, it shows no fault codes so they cant fix it. ANYONE WITH THIS PROBLEM? HELP I love this car.

WELCOME to the forum! There are NUMEROUS threads about the RCM including those that list the part number. Since you are new I went ahead and did the search for ya. After you get a few posts under yer belt folks aren't gonna be so forgiving when you ask a question without searching first.
The RCM is a some what common problem with our cars. There are other things that you will learn about as you read through this FANTASTIC site.

After spending hours reading the posts and realizing that my problem was a repetitive problem (RCM) why hasn't Chrysler had a recall on this part! I plan on printing all of the posts regarding this and take it to my dealer b/c they are clueless due to the fact that it isn't throwing a fault code. If it wasnt for all of the posts, we wouldnt know what a huge problem it actually is.

Does anyone know of an online site that carries the RCM? I live in a small town in Ohio with the closest Mercedes dealer saying they dont carry it. I got an online price for a mopar part of $205.00 I see on here that Mercedes RCM is cheaper. I cant wait to call my dealer tomorrow and enlighten him with knowledge from this site!

Well if anyone has been following, I ordered an RCM from chryslerpartsdirect.com for $209.00. The dealer wanted $307.00. So, I will update to let yall know if this fixes the problem.

 

If it was just broken solder connections, it would have been easy to fix this in a few minutes.

If you really enjoy your car, and can find the time, read thru this site extensively - there is a TON of practical information here. I have had no problem with my car yet, but I can tell that SOME of us here have saved BIG DOLLARS by getting their answers here before they order a part or take the car to the dealer.
