New Problem #1... Popping Noise
Since our Crossfire is essentially an SLK320 underneath, perhaps Chrysler should investigate if below problem from the SLK320 is the issue:
--------------
Problem: Clunking, knocking, clicking behind the passenger seat.
There is a common issue with most SLK 320s and SLK 32 AMG cars.
This related to the fuel and emission control systems in these cars.
There is an emissions valve located behind the passenger seat that can make a clicking, thumping or knocking noise.
This noise is best heard when the car is at a complete stop and the top is closed.
This issue is normal but some earlier 320s can have this valve updated to reduce its occurance.
The service bulletin # is 103/P-B 47.30/15 Shut Off Valve
Also may go by this number : 47/3045

Man, this forum is helpful! I've had that happen three times in my first week. Tried to ignore it, but secretly worried. I'll have it taken care of. It's definitely from the driver's side door in my car.
Just for some clarification: Is it the valve that needs to be replaced or the charcoal canister that needs to be replaced? Is there a blockage in the canister causing this, or is it the valve?
I am experiencing this on my 2004 Limited. My car is not reporting any MIL codes yet, but it sounds like someone is kicking the door, but I realize it is related to the EVAP.

The link is dead. I have this exact problem, with a clunk from the right rear, while idling at a stoplight. I'm not sure what part to replace, but someone mentioned the noisy valve is in the fuel pump. Is there a specific part or part# for us to look up?
