Going with superchip as soon as they get a CF in there heard quarters and have alook at one. (this may be mind if time allows).

Sent a e-mail and they will do, they want to make sure it is the same as SLK320 because of the warrenty.

Not only will superchip guarantee the ecu but, also any damage to the engine caused by a defective chip or installation for one year elimanting a Bobafettm situatiuon.

That's what Upsolute did with my car. I was the first one so they took my eprom out and copied the file and compared it to the stock SLK 320 file. It was the same some the Flash I got was the same as the SLK. It works awesome!!! And it was $400.00 Not $699.00

Wess, How long should one expect to wait for this to be done - shop time. I have family in Gastonia, N.C. and drive up from Amelia Island several times a year. I thought it might be easy for me to run over to Charlotte and have this done, if I am not stuck there for an extended period of time.

30 minutes to an hour... least that's how long mine took. Some of that was WHOOPEE time, where the guy asked me to go out and test drive it (before I paid) to verify it was running good after.

It was the same for me... except since mine was first I had to go in twice. The second time I got the new chip mapping. Less than an hour.

Just wanted to let anybody that lives in Cali and wanted to get the UPsolute chip done for their car to give your rep my name and info.

I went to go get mine done this weekend and it turned out that my ECU is a little bit different than that of David Burns and Wes Michaels. Lanny (the LA UPsolute rep) said that he thinks it is because of the extremely high emission (sp?) standards that we Californians are bound by. So he sent my file to Austria to get the upgrade. Should be back on Monday (April 26th) and available to use after then. Just let your rep know this.

Reguarding the topic on this post... I will have mine chipped with the K&N filters by next Saturady! Extremely excited!

PS. Lanny is extremely knowledgable and is really good at what he does. I highly recommend him.

I had a suspicion that might happen the first time a Californian tried an ECU upgrade. Glad it's working out for you so far, look forward to hearing how it goes.

Hey... you'll hafta hook up with the big group doing a cruise May 15... get some 1:1 comparisons of your Upsolute'd vs others.

I too had heard that the ECUs are setup regionally. Must be a real pain for Dc to keep track of. I wonder how many West coast cars are in the east and vise versa? :?

I think there's only two... "50 state emissions" (what you and I have) and "California emissions".

Next thing you know they will be making the California Crossfire one of those Hybrid things.

Not like the "old days" when, if you bought a car that had "California" on it's badge it meant more power ( Buick "California GS")... Those were the days when I was proud to be a Californian... :?
