Default Upsolute Chip performance details?

I have read alot of the talk on this website re the upsolute performance chip. However, I have yet to see any specific performance details. Does anyone know what kind of bhp or torque increases the chip has? Also, what are the adverse affects of installing a chip of this type (ie gas mileage, engine wear, gearing problems, etc...)?

Read some more and you will get answers to everything you've asked... I will say that the only numbers so far are with a stop watch. I did tests without any mods... with K&N filters and with the Upsolute Chip. I am traveling a lot for work but shouls wrap everything up in about 2 more weeks then I plan to have mine Dynoed to get so hard numbers....

I'm really soory I don't have a bunch of time to give you answers to everything you've asked.... Look in "Getting mine Chipped" thread and I think all your questions will be answered to some degree.

You can also go to www.Upsolute.com to get more info.

I've tried to find the closest shop to have mine dynoed but the closest is like 120 miles away in Lewisville. I have to find time in my schedule to drive there just to have mine dynoed.

Almost tempted to buy the Beltronics Vector or the Escort dynamometer

I was looking at those last night at Circuit City. Cool... it's styling isn't a very good match for the Crossfire interior, but I might get one anyway. I really surprised with his autocrossing that Wes hasn't bought one of these... be cool to know his lateral G's since the CF has such better G ratings than most cars it's size.

Actually I have been toying with the idea of getting the G-Tech Pro. The only problem is that I've read about it but I haven't seen one in use. I have my doubts about it's accuracy. They say that the G-Tech Pro can give you 1/4 mile and 0-60 times too..... Pretty cool if it's accurate.

its pretty accurate in my experience. its usually off by .1-.3 in the quarter and about dead on in 0-60, speaking from using one on my jeep, old neon and my friends s4.

I would like to chip my Crossfire but I can't seem to find anyone who knows anything about these cars. It might have something to do with the fact that I am in Missouri, and there isn't much demand for installing a chip in anything more than a neon around here. Anyone know who I can call?

X-DEALER.... Go to www.Upsolute.com. You can locate your closest Upsolute distributer there. If you still need some help let me know. I will be more than happy to get in touch with them for you. Since I was the first Crossfore to get it done I stay in contact with my rep and the eastern regional director fo Upsolute.

I know you'll like it.

Someone here has a dynograph of a performance chip mod, I don't remember who, though... let me post it to my album, I saved it to my computer:
Crossfire Dynamometer graph of performance chip upgrade, before and after, with A:F ratio.

Personally, that Air to fuel ratio really scares me. You can see why you'd get better gas mileage up to 4,0 RPMs and leaner across nearly the entire band, but I've never seen a car before that has that high of a range, from 15 all the way down to 10. The power optimum is generally considered to be 13.2 as steadily across the RPM band as possible. I just hope no one boosts the car with this chip or the stock chip. It looks like most of the performance increase was from advancing the timing. I bet that if someone puts this chip in and then installs a new catback exhaust and header that the car will start to run dangerously lean.

I have no idea where that came from. I had seen it too, a long time ago. I do know that it's not from an Upsolute chip. Since mine was the first Crossfire to get the Upsolute chip and that was less than 2 months ago.

Yeah, it's a Powerchip upgrade optimized for 91 octane.
