This is a fuel filter thread, not oil filter.

Interesting, my local "Merc" dealer charges around $20 for an oil filter, over the counter.......Ba$tards.

I have bought 6 fuel filters, all OEM, and never paid over $60 shipped.

Had mine replaced by the dealer along with a lot of stuff at 5 years. For the fuel filter it was labor $44, filter $168.30, 4 hose clamps at $0.70 each, total $215.10. Had to wait a week for them to get the filter in.

RMEuropean has the Mahle OEM replacement for $43 shipped FYI. Just purchased thanks to postings on MBWorld.

Old thread but thought I would post up the information for other users. Going to do this myself when I have time.

I have seen parts prices for our cars dropping lately. Hope that isn't a bad sign...lol

Is this the same filter that Needswings sells to go with their adjustable regulator? I have seen part # KL-82 AND THE 024773001 with prices in a wide range. Since I have found a shop to turn my pulley to 70mm it is about time to finish the fuel mods. Thanks
PS: Basically this is a filter for a V8 mercedes?
I believe Rob has the listed as a high flow filter.

Does this filter have 1 or 2 nipples on each end? The one I am looking at on ebay has 2 nipples on each end and I tought the filter we needed had one on each end, I see tham both ways, which is correct? THX!

I buy these from Rob also. We want to keep Needswings in buss. A few extra bucks is worth the piece of mind knowing the right/good stuff will be coming to my door. I'm loyal to great service over the lowest cost; most of the time anyway.
Totally agree, I shop for all my Xfire needs here first, and I am in Canada.

I have tried to purchase from Needswings but I have found the shipping costs too high. I wanted the fog lamp doors in the fender liners and even after getting a revised shipping cost it made the deal a no go. I tried.
I stuck the damaged one and the other down with Gorrilla tape.

Not real sure how that last quote above has my name on it? Not from Canada, aye. My last post on this thread was 6/30/11.

Weird things happen I guess. I'll answer the Binky post again and see what happens.

I know I'm odd at times. No worries, just curious. Thanks Dave.

Thanks for the fuel filter info. I'll be changing this on the SRT next week. How do you relieve the pressure on the fuel rail as someone posted in this thread? thanks in advance...Peace

Read this old thread done some time ago by a member who tragically died too young.
