Default What mods would you recommend for a budget of $5k?

Hello all,

I would like to mod my 2005 SRT-6 coupe but am a novice. I am fairly adept with tools so should be able to tackle most bolt-ons okay. Like the title says I have a budget of $5k. but I don't know if I should get the single or duel CAI, I don't know what crank, or sc pulley I should get, should I mess with exhaust, resonators or cats? Please help!

Regards,

AustinGSrider

1. Cold air intake..... Needswings single or double...(double is better and fits your budget)...
2. Crank pulley or SC pulley.... I personally like the 181 crank pulley... but the 65mm SC pulley is good and easier.....
3. Eurocharged ECU tune... no question
4. Resonator delete.... nice growl and drops about 25-30 pounds..
5. Wavetrac LSD....you won't blow up this rear diff!
6. Eurocharged TCU tune....????
7. Needwings modified intake plenums...
8. Needwings supercooler.....
9. Separated IC....

that should get you plenty of power..... brake upgrades would probably be next on your list....

dang... this almost sounds like my car.....

I chose the 181 over the 185 to leave a little margin.... at least in my mind....

Thanks for all the responses and an especially big thanks to TommyT. I am well on my way. I have decided to do the following:
NeedsWings Aluminum Intake Manifolds
NeedsWings Cold Air Intake System Teflon Velocity Coated
NeedsWings Teflon/Thermal Coated Lower YPipe
Teflon Coated Valve Covers
NeedsWings Crossfire Oil Catch Can Kit

After this will be SC Pulley and Tune.
