Most Effective Performance and HP Upgrades
I recently purchased a Crossfire in the Philadelphia area and was looking for recommendations about how to most effectively boost performance and horsepower. I am aware of the chip modifications available, engine mods, etc. but was wondering in the way of performance enhancing, what parts are best installed first, second, etc. Thanks.

It seems to me that the most bang for the buck comes from the Upsolute chip mod and a set of K&N filters.
A great place to start.

Next is the exhaust. Then in the winter (before the next autocross season) I will do the suspension.... Springs and shocks.

First: K&N Filters
Second: ECU remap (chip it)
Third: exhaust system
Fourth: replacement intake system (LordNikon working it)
Fifth: give your car and $20k+ to RennTech or StarTech
Thanks for all the recommendations. It will definately give me alot to think about. By the way, I have been reading about the ECU upgrade and was wondering if it would enhance, in your opinions, the performance of a 6-speed Crossfire? From what I have been reading, many of you suggest the bulk of the upgrade will be felt in the auto-stick models, but I was just wondering if it will be noticable in the 6 speed. Also, with all the upgrades mentioned, i.e. the new filters plus the new exhaust and ECU upgrade, about what could I expect to see in terms of horsepower enhancement? Thanks again.

I went into some (too much) detail here about my Upsolute mod - Part 2:

Part 3: https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...r=asc&start=21
The short story looks like this: (Upsolute mod only)
