113k, no cel...but a hunch (please read/help)
HI!
i havent posted in long time cause im pretty good with the forum and the knowledge given from members to diagnose things myself (i.e. cps and bad maf) but i think im on the verge of needing something dealing with the transmission. so the only things i have had to replace on this car is the power steering pump, the cps, maf, and idler pulley. this car has been AMAZING and always puts a grin on my face when it still surprises me. the only mods are a mercedes sl airbox and 74mm tb and secondary cat delete. 275/35/19
recently i have noticed the car has been jerky while upshifting to the point where it is embarasing. low speeds like turning onto an onramp from a light and needing to merge quickly type situation. lots of drone which i know this car is small and all that but ive been reading a lot on the faulty valve body/conductor plate and how almost everyone has had to change this sensor around the 100k marker.
i have no codes and i have never taken it in to be "read" by the dealer. also i have yet to change the 02 sensors. it doesnt seem to run rich but i know not much about cars this little beast has been a great learning experience.
anyways, my question is should i change the valve body before a code is thrown seeing as how the sensor will fail, or should i get an obdII reader and see if there is any hits from the control modules in the car. also! if i decide to replace the conductor plate without a cel will i still need to have it reprogrammed/reset by the dealer in order to be operable.
sorry for the rant its just i will be looking to seek action by the end of the month cause i really dont want to mess around when it comes to the transmission, also i should add there has been a "rear seal weep" since i bought the car and surely that is messing with the electrical connector.
