I need some input and advice on a current "sticky key" situation. I moved to Jacksonville, Fl last week from San Diego. My key started the sticky key thing on me and I do not have my tools and spare car here yet...could be a month or so. I have been leaving the key in the ignition (when i do not forget and accidentally remove it!) I ordered a spare from the dealer that should be here any day now. My big question is this...can I leave the old key in the ignition and use the spare to lock the door until i get my stuff out here to do the "sticky key fix"?

 

Yes, the remote works with the key left in the off position. I tried it.
