Default Where is this rubber hose supposed to route?

Just picked up my '05 Crossfire a few days ago with 96,000 miles on the clock so I'm doing all of the preventative maintenance stuff (plugs, wires, fluids...). While fixing a broken headlight bracket, I saw this rubber hose coming from the wiper cowl and resting on top of the transmission. Now I'm no pro, but I'm pretty sure this rubber hose should be attached to something, and not sitting on top the the tranny, lol.

Any ideas? Hopefully I can get 3 trouble free years out of her

it may mean something to some of our Guru's to know if it's a manual or automatic....and then again, it may have nothing to do with the tranny. Is the tube cut-off, or have any compression marks from being clamped at one time. It just seems wierd to me, that something might drain directly on the transmission, because if the drainage is "cold", the running on a heated tranny, could cause problems. I'm sure someone will pipe in here. .....but let us know what you find out.......

It's a manual, and it looks like it was clipped at the end...but looks like it came that way from the factory.

Manual. This is a drain for the wiper housing, no action required

I figured as much, thanks for the quick reply! Now waiting on parts from Needswings and fluids from Red Line and I'll be all set, lol.

It's the drain line from your a/c evaporator. Check for a puddle of water after you park your car when
running the a/c for extended periods.

If possible, to prevent a future issue, you may want to clean the hose and it's drip tray out. It gets full of leaves and bugs, overflows, and you have water in your passenger footwell.

Had that issue in my old Camaro, I'm all over it. These engines really are quite easy to work on. Just waiting for the clutch to go out
