Transmission Cooler Return Line
I did a search on this but didn't come up with anything directly on point, so I thought I'd post this question here.
The Chrysler dealership that services my 07 XF roadster told me yesterday that, while doing the oil change at 30K miles, they noticed transmission leaks. One has been fixed under warranty but the other (a leak at the transmission cooling return line) is not covered under warranty. They quoted $590.00 to perform that repair, but they did say it isn't a bad leak and doesn't need to be done urgently.
Does the quoted price seem reasonable? If so, I may let the dealer do that repair. Otherwise, I'll try to find an independent Mercedes shop and see what they would charge.
