Default Tint shop in Northern Virginia

For you fellow residents of the Commonwealth, can you recommend a good tint shop in the Fairfax/Loudon county areas? I've contacted LA Tint and they quoted me $249 for the sides using their best metallic tint. Any other ideas?

There are several down here in Manassas/Manassas Park, but I've never had any extra tinting done myself.

I am interested though, so if you find more info (or maybe a place that will give a group discount??? ), please do post it. I would like to tint my side windows to the legal limit (front side windows 50%, rear side windows 35%). Be careful with the metallic's... anything with >20% reflectance (or holographic/prism films) is illegal in VA (46.2-1052).

Don't worry, I'm not getting anything illegal. I don't want a mirrored tint anyway. Plus, LA Tint won't do anything illegal.

Cool...I didn't think they would. But there are some shops around that might bend the rules a bit

When you take it in, see if you can get a "before" tint measurement. It would probably be good info to share here on the forum. I guess I could see if one of my PD friends has a tint meter.

If you want to take a drive to Southern Maryland to get your tint done....................
Call Charlie at (301) 475-3808 in Leonardtown at D&G Kustom Specialties.
He does all my work and uses the best materials available and at a great price.
The special film he uses comes off (if necessary) with the adhesive with it!!
If you have ever removed window tint yourself and ended up with all the sticky on the glass to clean, you know what I am talking about!!!
REDCROSS, our Cadillac Catera, PT Cruiser GT and my Turbo Beetle Twice (first time I requested too dark and got busted) all have been done by him.
I'm getting ready to have my work car (95 Bonneville) done also. 8)
Tell him JD sent you and he will make you a deal!!!

It's one step darker than legal (30%) Note that you can see all the way through the car................
If you go any darker you are asking fo a visit!!
But my man can do anything you want...........
He can do Flamed Limo if that is your bag!!

I have an Alabaster with Llumar tinted, I guess 30%also, possibly darker, and I get nothing but compliments, even from fellow xfire drivers! St. Louis.
