Default DashDaq w/ZT-2 Install Help!

I have a dashdaq with zt-2. And have a few questions.

1. I am already pulling the RPM, TPS, MAP, etc off of the OBD-II output and viewing directly on the DashDaq. I am now installing the ZT-2. All of the install writeups say to source the RPM, TPS, MAP, etc off of the ZT-2 by tapping the BCM/PCM. Is there any downside from only pulling the WB O2 reading from the ZT-2, and letting the dashdaq log everything else from the OBDII? If I dont have to splice and solder those extra inputs, I'd rather not.

2. There are a lot of currently unused wires on the Dashdaq->ZT-2 interface(10-pin Accessory) cable. I see the case ground, etc, are you using any of these? N/A for my setup?

3. Also, with everything hooked up and mounted to the windshield, it looks like crap. There is the OBD, GPS, and ZT-2 wire bundle running up to my windshield, how have you guys done clean installs? I found one forum member that made a bracket that mounted to glove box, any other options? I'm strongly considering leaving it in my glovebox and only pulling it out for logging/track runs

4. Is there any downside from mounting the WB/02 in the passenger side exh mani right behind the factory O2? Can I use the factory 02 bung, install the wb/02, and use the ZT-2 Simulated Narrowband Output Signal?

Thanks!
T

OBD2 refresh rate is much slower that ZT-2 and therefore the data that you are recording using DashDaq through OBD2 port is missing some of the data. Using ZT-2 or tapping into BCM/PCM will give you more data for the same period of time. Now, is this important? If you take your car to the track where a lot of data will be changing quickly and you are not recording it, than it would be important. IF you are just cruising on the Hway, then you may be fine without the extra data. Can't help you with the placement since I drive a C32.
