Hmmmmm. New KEY? New SKREEM? Sounds to me like something didn't get programmed right when one of those was replaced. Also, I wonder about the antenna ring thingy around the ignition key. If that antenna can't couple to the chip in the key, it will turn over but won't start.

I wish I was closer, but I'm not. I like nothing more than a challenge!

If you are really at wit's end, try to find an independent Mercedes-experienced garage.

I wonder what Rudy would charge to fly down there and look at it?

Just speculating.. but doesn't the CPS tell the ECU when to fire on an ignition coil? What are the symptoms of a bad ECU.. never had to deal with one myself..

Replace the skreem module? Was getting two cranks and battery disconnect to do it all over again?

Homework assignment.. fully describe "intial" symptoms and step by step attempts at the repair.. Might help a lot on this..?

I assume you mean there is 12V at each of the 6 coil packs ?
If so, then I hate to say it, but the PCM ( pricey module, and requires programming [ I think ] ) comes into play; see attached schematic.
( Try removing and re-seating all the plugs to the PCM - it is the MIDDLE module next to the K40 RCM )
