Intercooler or Chargecooler
I parked my srt up a little to far on a high curb and heard the awfull scrapping sound so i slowly backed up and parked. While inspecting my minor scraps thats some wet sanding and touchup will cure I was losing coolant liker crazy,I dropped the engine cover at the cover with the car on ramps and notice coolant is pouring from my I suspect this is the intercooler, well I much am I in for and is it a DIY task.
Sounds like you damaged the Heat Exchanger or Radiator, as the intercooler (charge air cooler) is underneath the supercharger and safe from your lack of driving skills.
The heat exchanger is cheap ($50 - used) and an easy swap. The radiator is more of a pain to swap, and not nearly as cheap.

I found one by a company called PLM anyone have one its suppose to be a upgrade for our cars only 325$,I still dont how to remove it except almost removing the front clip or I am still looking thru some pissed eyes on how I did a dumb park dang.
You need t get under it to change. If the radiator is not going down you did the HE only. IF they are not separated youll not know for sure till u look.
If you dont have a lift you can park on the yard with the front wheels at the curb and with the parking brake set go under to see with the safe 9" lift helping - be safe about it.....
The he is first, the radiator is above the frame support but you can push stuff back to hit the radiator, gotta see, take your camera and let us see, if you wish.
Best luck, woody Hope you snagged a hose or something stupid like that.

If you need a heat exchanger, there is one over on MBWorld for $50 plus shipping. It is larger than stock (came off a supercharged V8), so it's a cheap upgrade.

Whats actually required to make it wrk because I am bypassing my heat exchanger and taking it to a local performance shop to do the install, just got out the hospital with pneumonia not in the mood yet to be wrking on my 6
Yes its the heat exchanger got the car up on ramps and belly pan off, just going with the PLM upgrade direct bolt in much better than stock. Its a highly modded car,its xblake old car mods are code3 pulley, inmotion can tune, needwings single, needwings ported manis, oil catch can.Now this is off topic but I respect any answer the car makes 348hp and 364tq at the wheels, why do car with the 61mm pulley make less or a hair more power,as bad as I want a 6imm pully it dont appear worth it.Xfireblake videos are on youtube and the video is proof, and I think the car is actually pushing 18lbs of boost,he did remove the gauge before selling the car, plus the car did a 7.88@90mph on street tires last month with a 1.8 60ft no brake torqing.
Our stock H/E's have brackets that allow it to be fastened, and don't line up or work w/ the E55 or aftermarket units. The E55 exchanger is 5 or 6" longer, and thicker also. I had to trim off some of the plastic mount tabs for a proper fit, and used a couple heavy duty HVAC black zip ties. It would be impossible for me to try and type out a how-to. Your performance shop should be able to handle it fine. Make sure they pad any metal to metal contact areas.

Just PM me when you decide. No problem.
Ordered the PLM unit and on there page as well as speaking with a sales rep its a direct bolt on for our cars and have a lifetime warranty, also I just read its not a direct fit for the slk due to the tow hook in the way.We have the car up and yes the left side endtank was cracked if you are facing the car.

The installed pretty much straight forward we took the car out and measured the iat with a scan tool and at 140 mph for 15 seconds it never topped 100 degrees and cruising around its always about 10 degrees above the temp outside and we checked the timing we saw about 26 degrees at wot throttle with zero knock whatever that mean, the guy who did the install said the car had a aggressive but really safe tune,i still cant get the pics i have took posted i admit i am no good at the stuff sorry

No offense, but from what I've seen over the part two years I have to call BS (for lack of a better term) on your "never topped 100 degrees". Sorry, but there is no way you're only seeing 100 degrees unless you have a remote ice box, killer chiller, etc. Maybe you meant 100 Celsius, as that I'd believe.
I'm not trying to bust your *****, I'm just letting you know that's a pretty outlandish claim.
