For those of you who have an Ultragauge, Scangauge, or use Torque...
Have you noticed that the OBDII disconnects at random times? I noticed it today with my phone that's running Torque. The software actually had to re-establish a connection with the Bluetooth OBDII module, and go through all of the protocols before it worked again. Noticed that my Ultragauge would occasionally blank out, and the mileage would be off after that...

Same here, they all come back in a few seconds. Never questioned it, just thought, "Oh, well..."
I'd check for helicopters shortly after it drops out.. maybe find a tunnel to park in.. turn off cel phone.. etc.
Never any issues with the scan gauge on the Black 1 or the torque pro on the blue 1 and both are fine no problems. Check your pin out on the odbII
It's happened with both of my tools, the ultragauge and the bluetooth OBDII...takes a minute for the connection to recover.
How would I check the pin-out?
Look at the connectors on the ODBII socket under the dash and specifically look for corrosion or verdigress on the copper. The best way to clean those is a tuner or electrical spray cleaner that can be had from Radio Shack or a simple pencil eraser works as well. The common denomator here would be the socket and not the devices.
