My Driver's Door Window is Hitting Against the Frame?? Not closing properly!
My Driver's Door Window is Hitting Against the Frame?? Not closing properly!
Going through this problem now... I believe this is the TSB for it..
TBS: 28-Jan-05 - 23-004-05 - Body - Window Glass Misaligned and or Contacts Roof
Is there a way to find more info on this TSB that has been previously posted in this thread: www.crossfireforum.org/forum/crossfire-coupe/30227-stubborn-door.html
so I can show it to the Dealer or can this be a DIY project? anyone go through this issue?
My window seems to "stick outward hitting the upper rubber seal", which the window is suppose to go into behind it but instead its like half an inch too high. I just started experiencing this recently on the drivers side door on my 2005 Crossfire SRT-6. What I tend to do is when I'm inside the car about to turn the ignition on, I roll the window down on the drivers side just a notch and then close the drivers door and it works perfectly when I roll the window back up. It will fit snug back in place as it should while the door is closed. When I get out of the car before I close the door I just slightly let the latch lock, push the window towards the top slightly in and it pops into place, then with my hand I push the door in to close all the way.... it works great that way but I KNOW I never had to do this before. This just started about 3 weeks ago.. before that it worked excellent so there has to be a fix for it! I'm guessing that TSB above is it?? I've taken door panels off before on other vehicles and have replaced window regulators and motors, is this something I can do myself on the Crossfire SRT6?
I thought at one point it might be the bolts that hold the door it self in place and that maybe they need to be re-tightened... any advice and/or opinions would be great before having to have a Dealer look at it.....

It may be 8 years old but there was an earlier fix for something similar when I had a bad draft in that window seal. I think the similar fix would work.
So better late than never.
Inner door panel removal. CLICK
window adjustment.. CLICK

I know he has been gone 6 plus years, but it is here for the record that’s all.
