Talking Location of OBD-II Connector???

Hi All,

Well, got the new Crossfire home yesterday and before I drove it up the driveway the Check Engine Light was on, so its gotta go back to the dealer for correction. However because I am such an untrusting soul, I want to plug in my OBD-II reader and get the fault code(s) myself, but I can't seem to locate the plug?

In my other cars it is clearly visible up under the drivers side of the dash but I'm not seeing it in this car? Where is it? Do they have it hidden up under something where I need to take everything apart just to get at it or do I: need new glasses?????

Thanks,
-George-

It's where you looked, but it has a cover over it. Its oriented vertically, facing downward.

Why don't you take it somewhere where they know what the hell they are doing?
Like an independent, local shop that works on MB?

I had the same problem with a check engine light as soon as I bought it.. turned out to be the RCM.. turning off the light was fine until I went to get it inspected and it threw the codes...

When I connected my obd2 reader I got the code then shut off the ignition unplugged it and restarted. Tge check engine light went out and had stayed off. I put In. Fresh tank of high octane gas and personally made sure the gas cap was tight. The light has stayed off so far. Assuming it stays off I may just reconnect my bod reader and clear the codes in the computer just to be safe
