SRT6 : Removing supercharger pulley ...
Ji all,
I would like to replace the bearing of my supercharger pulley, but, the pulley doesn't seem to get off the clutch easily.
I removed the screw and the little round plate which is plugged on the 2 pins, but even if i try with this tool :
Nothing seems to work

Can anyone please tell me how can i manage to get the pully/bearing off ?
Thanks !

I sprayed a lot of WD40 on it, and i do same each time i pass close to the compressor which is actually out of the engine.
The pulley simply refuses to extract.
When i see the Code 3 tutorial to remove the pulley, it seems as easy as ABC !
But for mine : it is probably oxyded, and for now, i don't really know what to do.

If someone has an idea, or did the trick with a special tool, please tell me.
Thanks !
Full disclosure, I haven't been down this road, yet. But having gone through similar on other cars: Have you tried letting it sit with PB Blaster soaking in? Or perhaps apply some heat?
After this, heating the bearing and/or the pulley could do the trick.
But for now, my freezer is full and i don't have room for putting the entire compressor in it.
Must find another way to get it done.
ANOTHER QUESTION : as i want to open the compressor itself, to access the rotors, and specialy, access the bearings for replacing them, is there a way to get the external screws that catch the gears carter on the rotors carter out ?
I mean : the electrical clutch is in front of 2 screws and i'm wondering if i have to find a BTR tool which is round at its end or if there is a way to get the whole clutch (black round thing which is between the pulley and the compressor) removed ?
Thanks !
well, I would tell you never to put heat to it. So, glad it came off. Sometimes I have to take a mallet to the rim of the pulley and tap lightly all the way around to get movement. Once I do that she will wiggle off. I clean the surface before re install...
Actually, there is some photos of the whole dismounting part.
I just got the 2 ball bearings that resides on the end of the rotors !
Yeah !!! These bearings are nothing less than classics 6203 !
They are easily findable on eBay : 2 for approx 10€ // 13USD (shipping included).
GREAT NEWS !

Need some help, the pins on my s/c snout ( an example of these are shown in post#8 in this thread) have been bent, causing the washer to be not perfectly centered on snout. This is evident when engine is running. Has anyone had to straighten these out in the past, if so please share your wisdom. I have to assume that this is a balanced unit and needs to be that way, thanks in advance
Thanks for the pics. I've never seen the inner guts of the SC before. It would be nice if you could write up the instructions on how you did it.
